Whether it be in her waking moments or in her last thought before bed, stories live in every moment of Milly’s life. She can’t help but put all of her energy in bringing into manifesting stories into reality.  Human stories about embracing struggle and through inner strength, conquering them. In turn,  embracing one's self.

 

For several years, film has been her medium of choice. Moving picture act's as an audiences eye, putting them in the shoes of someone different from a few minutes to a few hours. A tool for encouraging empathy to being a perfect form of escapism. And while audience receptiveness can vary, the opportunity to bring others together and remind them of their common humanity is what captured Milly’s heart. 

 

After attending her high school film program, with a merit based scholarship, she was accepted into Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Art's. In May of 2026, she received her Bachelor's of Fine Art's Degree with her Film and Television Production Major. With an emphasis in directing and a merit based scholarship. 

 

In her time at Chapman she directed several short films. The 5 on this website being her most current works. Social Anxiety, the film that was the key to her acceptance into Chapman. Taste of You, an independent film she created Sophmore year. Which improved her directing, cinematography and editing skills. Diner at Dawn was a risk. She took a gap semester and worked full time to afford its production.  After returning to Chapman, she created Objection for her Junior year film. Mixed Bag, her thesis and a Women of Chapman grant recipient.

 

Each film uses visual metaphors to materialize emotions that can be hard to describe with words. Social anxiety manifesting as a noticeable astronaut suit. The fight or flight feeling of a people pleaser, turned monster fight in a Diner. A struggle with identity turning into a web of lies. Feelings act like a battle or a cage inside one’s bodies - Milly uses her film's to demonstrate it.
